FIFO Bottles are the ....No Mess, No Hassle, Re-useable paint dispenser bottle that is a MUST on your painting shelf!
These little plastic containers are amazing, they allow for no mess usage of your favorite Paint. Squirt paint right on the surface of whatever you are painting and then use your brush to spread it all over, or squeeze directly into a cup, paper plate, paint tray or bucket, or directly onto your paint brush with no mess or fuss. Useful in classes, or painting with a partner. This will decrease the time it takes you to paint a piece of furniture and keep your paint cans from becoming contaminated, rusty and gunky!
Also, the ingenious container is amazing in that it does NOT suck a bunch of air back in - which could cause your paint to dry.
There is a unique silicon valve on the bottom of the bottle to dispense paint directly to your project, paint brush or smaller container. So there is no more opening of paint cans, drips, leaks or wasted expensive paint.
**FIFO valves are made of silicone please do not use any paints, creams, or viscous liquids which are known to dissolve or degrade silicone**
Make sure the flat end cap is on tight and that the cap is not cross threaded. Caps are designed to create a tight seal. (Caps may be loosened during shipping so please be sure to always check caps before adding paint.)
Open the dispenser cap, using a funnel or a piece of paper that you circle into a funnel; pour a “fresh” quart of paint into the bottle. Scrape every last ounce of paint (spatulas work well) out of the paint can for no waste. (Using paint in your FIFO that has been stored in a can may contain lumps and will be hard for the valve to operate properly, so use fresh quarts of paint in your bottle.) If using our 16 or 12 oz size FIFO, be sure to stir the can of paint thoroughly before pouring into your FIFO.
Screw the dispenser cap on tight; making sure it is threaded straight.
Turn your bottle upside down holding it straight up and down and squeeze some paint into a cup or paper plate. If the valve is tight and it is hard to squeeze, gently put your little finger against the valve and press upward. Try squeezing some paint out again. (The valve is delicate so please do not stick anything but a finger tip in the valve to clear obstructions) Store your bottles on its flat cap end when not in use.
If your FIFO Bottles has not been used in a while. Place your finger over the valve and gently shake the paint, in a backward and forward motion. A small chip of dried paint may occur inside the valve when stored for a length of time. Simply "flick this dried paint out of the valve with your finger tip".
When it’s time to fill again, add a fresh quart of paint and keep on using.
Cleaning, you may clean your bottle and valve cap with warm soapy water if you wish, just make sure everything is screwed on tight and level again.
Options for use: You may use your FIFO to squirt paint directly onto the surface you are painting: directly onto your brush; or into a dish or cup for painting your piece.
